Vicki is a highly experienced adviser in strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement, with more than 30 years’ experience in communications consultancy across senior agency and in-house roles.

At Brown O’Connor, she leads client programmes that bring together intelligent insight, strategic planning, compelling content and strong media relationships. Her work spans health and social care, business, social housing, the arts, public bodies and major public events, helping clients communicate clearly, strengthen their reputations and engage the audiences that matter.

Vicki has extensive specialist experience in health and social care, representing clients working in cancer, mental health, sexual health, dementia and older people’s issues, and delivering regional health promotion campaigns. She is highly skilled in building trusted relationships with journalists, elected representatives, public authorities, funders, corporate partners and community organisations.

Her collaborative style helps clients create meaningful partnerships and deliver communications with lasting impact. Vicki also has substantial crisis communications experience, advising organisations through sensitive incidents, reputational challenges and major events. She has developed crisis plans, led scenario exercises, trained spokespeople and managed fast-moving media responses.

Vicki is a law graduate and a Chartered Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, with specialist qualifications in digital and internal communications. She is also a committee member of the Public Relations and Communications Association in Northern Ireland and a long-standing Trustee of Brain Injury Matters.
