Mark is a public affairs and communications professional with experience across political engagement, strategic communications, stakeholder relations and media.
At Brown O’Connor, he works with clients to navigate the political and policy landscape, develop effective engagement strategies and communicate clearly with the audiences that matter. His work spans aviation, health, technology, sport, retail and economic development, supporting clients on political engagement, major consultations, public affairs campaigns, events and reputation-building activity.
Mark has experience in political monitoring and analysis, turning complex policy and political developments into clear, practical insight for clients. He regularly engages with elected representatives, government departments, councils, business organisations and other key stakeholders, helping clients strengthen relationships, develop strategies and position their priorities effectively.
Prior to joining Brown O’Connor, Mark worked for Claire Hanna MP, gaining first-hand experience of constituency, parliamentary and political communications and contributing to Claire’s re-election as MP in July 2024.
He holds an MA in Political Communication from Dublin City University and a BSc (Hons) in International Politics and Conflict Studies from Queen’s University Belfast.
Mark brings a strong understanding of Northern Ireland’s political, media and business environment, combining political insight with a practical and collaborative approach to client work. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
